David Vepraskas

Early Life

David Vepraskas grew up in Lithonia and Conyers, Georgia. He studied at NC State University for one year in the Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering program from 1996 to 1997. He then transferred to Georgia Tech and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1999. David lived in Decatur for 17 years before moving to Lakemont during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Career

David has built a long, steady career in construction and mechanical contracting. With more than 25 years in the industry, he’s worked his way up the ladder the honest way. After Georgia Tech, he started in entry-level project support, learning scheduling, budgeting, field coordination, and everything else that keeps a job running. Those early years gave him a solid understanding of how projects really work from the ground up.
Before long, he moved into full project management, where he took on tougher jobs and led teams through planning, construction, and closeout. That hands-on project experience shaped his leadership style. He’s practical, steady, and always focused on what the team needs to keep a project moving.
As David grew into director and executive roles, his responsibilities expanded into specialized industries like healthcare and tech, where the stakes and expectations are high. He has led teams, mentored younger staff, and helped shape major projects from the earliest planning stages through delivery. In recent years, he’s focused on preconstruction, operations, and organizational planning, helping the company think ahead and operate more effectively.
Anyone who works with David can tell you he’s consistent, committed, and serious about building strong teams. His career reflects exactly that: long-term growth, steady leadership, and a clear focus on delivering reliable results.
